With a final scrubbing this weekend, we’ll be ready to welcome our first residents and families next week. Our home is equipped and furnished and our Caregiver staff is trained.
Once we welcome our first resident, we’ll be the first and only non-medical home in Los Angeles County totally focused on end-of-life care. Many thanks to our volunteers, donors and staff for bringing Caring House to the edge of this wonderful milestone.
Work this week included a two-hour review of our admissions process by Karen, Patty and our nurse volunteers (see photo below). The review was enhanced by telephone conference call filled with the support and shared experience of members of the admissions team at Our Community House of Hope in Thousand Oaks, CA.
