Welcome Jon Mesko
Caring House has hired Jon Mesko as its first paid Executive Director as it continues growing its legacy of caring.
Jon Mesko is well known in the South Bay for his leadership and organizational development skills. He has built several businesses, ranging in size from one staff member all the way up to a team of 700, and strongly believes that more human connection and empathy is key to greater fulfilment for all. He brings to Caring House a high level of energy and a passion to serve the community.
At Caring House, Jon will lead a dedicated and growing team. He will have overall responsibility for community engagement and fund development, financial and operational management and staff leadership and development. He will report to the board of directors.
When asked about his new position, Jon commented, “I’m excited to maintain the amazing mission of Caring House while growing our reach in our community and beyond. Peace at the end of life is something that everyone deserves, and I’m honored to be part of this organization.”
Robin Camrin, Board Chairperson, shared that “Jon will be an exceptional addition to the Caring House team. His dedication to our mission is evident and he brings great enthusiasm to the position. He is a proven team builder and manager.” She added, “The members of the Board of Directors are looking forward to working with Jon in helping to maintain our mission while seeking growth.”
Ed Long, a co-founder and the volunteer who has served as the executive director, commented “I’m thrilled that Jon is joining Caring House.
