Many of our dedicated volunteers came together on April 23 for a quarterly update meeting. The quarterly meetings combine serious business with a sense of fun. We also invite men and women who are thinking about volunteering and want more information.
Following self-introductions, several volunteers shared Mission Moments about their experiences as volunteers at Caring House. Next came a free-wheeling session we call Questions for Karen — where Karen (our resident care manager) answered large and small questions from volunteers about the work of Caring House.
We moved on to updates on outreach, fundraising and volunteer opportunities. Then to numbers of interest (for example, our youngest resident so far was 48 years old, and our oldest was 97).
We wrapped up this one up with a wonderful group photo of most attendees.
