Series of Smarties classes starts May 8 at Torrance Memorial

Advance Care Planning for Smarties is our popular five-part series on advance care planning. We cover how to select a best person to speak for you, advance directive documents, why even well-intentioned advance directives fail, figuring out and communicating your wishes, how to be an effective spokesperson for someone else, care lingo and California’s end of life option act.

We present this series as part of our “Being Mortal” collaboration with Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Last night we held our initial screening of “Being Mortal” followed by an excellent audience discussion led by a panel of experts.

Attend one or more classes. For the greatest benefit, attend them all.
