Caring House Assistant Care Manager Sandra Vuoso

In memoriam: Sandra Vuoso
Assistant Resident Care Manager and Director of Quality Control

On November 19, 2024, Sandra passed away from gastric cancer.

Sandra Vuoso was a familiar face around Caring House. One of three caregivers who had been with us since we opened our doors, she could often be found cooking delicious meals for everyone or compassionately caring for our residents and families. These are both things she did very well. Her salsa was legendary! But more importantly, she was an extremely warm, caring, loving, funny and competent person with a huge heart.

Before joining Caring House, Sandra was a private caregiver, which is when she finally began to nurture what she considered her true calling. Prior to that, she worked for various companies as an office manager and bookkeeper. Raised locally, Sandra graduated from Banning High School and initially studied cosmetology, working as a hair dresser while also helping in her family’s restaurant, which she had been doing since her mid-teens. Later, she studied business administration at both El Camino and Harbor College.

Sandra leaves behind three wonderful kids and her boyfriend, Jamie. They enjoyed spending time together in nature, and really, just spending time together in general. Anyone who has been around Sandra can see why – her warm, loving nature and calm demeanor were inspiring.

Collectively the staff, residents, family and friends are devastated by her loss. Sandra will always be in the hearts of those who were in or part of Caring House, and in the very walls and soul of the House. Rest in peace, Sandra.
