An important part of the Caring House mission is remembering the lives of those entrusted to our care.
Upon arriving at Caring House, each resident is acknowledged by a unique heart-shaped “memory stone” showing his or her first name and (on the back) date of admission to Caring House. Initially the memory stones reside on the window sill in the living room.
After we seal each stone to preserve its appearance, we lovingly place it in the Memory Stone Garden. This week we added the memory stone of each resident welcomed in the first half of 2018. [Note: you can click on a photo to zoom in.]
