Charles “Terry” Taylor has come to live with us at Caring House. We are honored.
Terry was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, but was raised in Torrance, California. There he attended Torrance High School, and later El Camino College.
Even from his youth he has liked the outdoors and activities such as hunting and fishing. He’s a great trap and skeet shooter. After his service in the U.S. Army, he became co-owner of Torrance Sports Shop, and also purchasing agent at Hollywood Park Race Track in Inglewood, California, not surprising for such a sports fan!
Living most of his life in Torrance, as well as Lomita and Hesperia, he and his first wife Paula Murphy, raised their two sons, Ty and Luke.
Terry met Marie Gosselin in 1977 when he accidentally stepped on her foot. That’s where it all began and they married in Genoa, Nevada in 1981.
Terry and Marie have been making wonderful memories together ever since. While Terry is a dedicated motorcyclist (he has covered over 150,000 miles), Terry and Marie love traveling together with their RV. Terry loves spending time with family and many friends. Ty, Luke and his wife Tiffany, and of course grandson Parker — they are a true blessing to Terry and Marie!
We are glad Terry is with us at Caring House. We look forward to caring for this beloved family man.
Terry died on February 21, 2018. Honor him. Remember him.
