Meet Rosemarie “Rosie” Santistevan
Rosemarie “Rosie” Santistevan has come to live with us at Caring House. We are honored.
Rosie was born to Anastasio “Andy” and Felonize “Mary” Santistevan, the sixth of their nine children, in Taos, New Mexico. She was raised in Wyoming, but then moved back to Taos, where she attended Taos High School. In her youth, Rosie played baseball, but most of all, she enjoyed being at home with family doing quiet activities like crossword puzzles, and she loved to read.
Rosie went on to attend Pacific Beauty School in Huntington Park, and also did further studies in New Mexico. After completing her schooling, she worked at a drug store in New Mexico, and then for Betty & Jane Beauty Shops in Southgate.
Always an early riser, she has always loved walking – as much as three miles every day! Her love for reading and doing crossword puzzles has stayed with her, and she loves to crochet, too. An avid cook, she is especially known for her great desserts.
We are glad Rosie is with us at Caring House. We look forward to caring for this energetic and well-read woman.
