Meet our new Executive Director, Kay Post
We proudly welcomed Kay Post as our new Executive Director in mid-August 2023, and we were thrilled to formally introduce her to members of our community at the Team Caring House Triathlon Celebration.
Kay brings an impressive background in both the business and nonprofit sectors to Caring House, with experience leading a diverse array of nonprofit organizations for decades, which will no doubt help us as we continue to grow and serve more families. In addition to Executive Director, she has served as a Regional Vice President and in major gift development at such prestigious organization as the ALS Association, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the National Kidney Foundation, and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, a national organization headquartered right here in the South Bay! In addition, she sat on the Board of Directors for a large organization and served as its Treasurer.
“All of my life’s experiences have prepared me for my new role at Caring House,” Kay said. “This is a very special place, and I am truly honored to be here. I have a lot of respect for the journey that has made Caring House what it is today, and I will continue the excellence built by the team of staff, volunteers, and donors.”
Kay’s background also includes successfully leading many turnaround efforts that have allowed organizations to remain operational and ultimately thrive. By joining a variety of nonprofits that were facing substantial challenges, she fell in love with building relationships with those who want to help strengthen organizations. She has a track record for ramping up momentum and fostering realistic hope, and she has received several awards for her work, including two for creating regional programs that have since been implemented nationwide.
“I am delighted to welcome Kay to Caring House in her new role as Executive Director,” Board Chair Robin Camrin shared. “Kay has a true passion for our mission and shares our values. Her extensive experience makes her the perfect fit for our organization as we continue to serve our residents, families and community. Her leadership skills will be invaluable in helping us continue to grow. Welcome Kay!!”
When she’s not making a difference through her love of nonprofits, Kay enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs. She also likes visiting the beach, enjoying the beauty of nature, and capturing the world around her through photography and writing.
