Alice Scott Salo has come to live with us at Caring House. We are honored.
Alice, a native Los Angelino, is the second child of Wendell Scott and Dolores Corrales Figuroa. In her youth Alice enjoyed drawing, sewing and just being creative. She attended Jefferson High School in Los Angeles.
Louie Salo was a friend of Alice’s sister. Louie and Alice dated before World War II, but Alice waited until after the War to marry him. During the War, Alice worked as a civil servant in the aircraft industry.
Louie and Alice settled in the Los Angeles area, rearing their three children, Antoinette, Marie and Johnny. They have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Alice has loved being a wife, mother and homemaker. After raising her children, her caring nature continued when she became a pre-school teacher’s aide.
Alice and Louie loved their trips to Las Vegas. And Alice enjoys making ceramics, gardening, and activities at the senior center. But Alice is always happiest being with her family.
We are glad that Alice is with us at Caring House. We look forward to caring for this family-woman, as she has cared for others.
Alice died on August 16, 2018. Honor her. Remember her.
