Marianne Ayala joins the Caring House Board
Marianne Ayala, RN, BSN, CHPN has been elected to the Caring House Board of Directors.
Marianne is a registered nurse with over 40 years experience in Hospice and Palliative Care. Her most recent position was manager of Providence Little Company of Mary’s inpatient palliative care teams in Torrance and San Pedro. Prior to that, she worked in the area of HIV/AIDS as the director of AIDS case management, overseeing the medical component of 13 residential homes. She is now semi-retired, still working part time with Providence in their community-based palliative care program. Marianne’s extensive palliative care experience will be extremely valuable to Caring House as she helps select the most appropriate residents and families for our home.
When asked about her motivation to join the Caring House Board, Marianne said, “It has been a privilege spending my career accompanying people at the end of life. I have learned that we cannot change the outcome, but we can affect the journey.”
Marianne grew up in Redondo Beach where she lives now with her husband, René. She enjoys walks on the beach, is an avid Dodger fan, and loves to cook and spend time with family and friends.
Having a strong, experienced, capable and involved Board of Directors is key to the success of a nonprofit like Caring House. We’re thrilled that Marianne is now a part of our Board and leadership. Marianne is also a proud member of Nurses for Caring House.
