Jill Schultz joins the Caring House board

Jill Schultz

Jill Schultz was just elected to the Caring House board of directors.

Jill and her husband Mike are long time Palos Verdes Peninsula residents. Through the years Jill has been active in many organizations and served on the boards of Palos Verdes Junior Women’s Club, National Charity League and Peninsula Education Foundation. For the last 20 years she worked at Providence Little Company of Mary and recently retired from there as Director of Volunteer Services at both the Torrance and San Pedro campuses. While working there Jill became very involved in their No One Dies Alone program where volunteers are trained to companion dying patients in the hospital who have almost no one to visit with them as they transition.

Jill says that, when she heard about Caring House and its mission to give residents a comfortable home atmosphere at the end of their life, making it possible for their family members to just be present with their loved one at the end of their life, she knew it would be a perfect fit.

Jill and Mike spend their free time traveling and enjoying new life experiences with their two children and their six grandchildren.

Having a strong, experienced, capable and involved board of directors is key to the success of a nonprofit like Caring House. Pastor Dan Hudson is heading up and focusing our efforts to grow and strengthen our board. We’re thrilled that Jill is now a part of our board and leadership.
