Introducing the Memory Stone Garden

An important part of the Caring House mission is remembering the lives of those entrusted to our care.

Upon arriving at Caring House, each resident is acknowledged by a unique heart-shaped “memory stone” showing his or her first name and date of admission to Caring House. Initially the memory stones reside on window sill in the living room.

Now memory stones have a home in the backyard garden. This weekend volunteers Linda Russell and Laura Peters put the finishing touches on the Memory Stone Garden. After they sealed each stone to preserve its appearance, they lovingly placed in the Memory Stone Garden the memory stone of each resident we welcomed in 2016 and 2017. The stones for our 2018 residents remain on the window sill. [Note: you can click on any photo to zoom in.]
