Collaborating to Create Care Packages For Our Families
We continue to feel so lucky to be part of such an amazing community, and here’s another reason why… Kathy Levy is a nurse at Torrance Memorial who needed to do a community project as a final requirement for her Master’s in Nursing Administration, and she chose Caring House as the recipient!
She collaborated with us to create Care Packages for our Residents’ Families… since we support our families just as much as we do our residents, this is the perfect addition to what we’re already doing to make this difficult time easier for them. Each Care Package includes a heart-shaped stress ball and an amethyst worry stone for tactile stress and anxiety relief, essential oil and chamomile tea for their calming effects, and a card with meaningful messages to help them on their journey.

When Kathy came to deliver the Care Packages, she was joined by our Caregiver Sandra Vuoso who helped collaborate on the items; Board Member Janette Dawson, a retired RN-Case Manager from Torrance Memorial; and Executive Director Jon Mesko.
