Celebrating National Volunteer Week
A group of young volunteers helped us show our appreciation to our volunteers in honor of National Volunteer Week, April 17-23. The fifth graders of Girl Scout Troop 7985 at Beryl Heights Elementary in Redondo Beach made cards for us to send to our current Caring House volunteers to thank them for all they do!
After a year without our beloved volunteers helping us around the house, we have an even greater appreciation for their contributions. From baking cookies, preparing meals and helping with laundry to welcoming families, sitting with residents, acting as advisors and helping us plan for the future – each and every one of our volunteers is an essential part of our Caring House family. That’s why we always say that we love our volunteers… they’re family, and they help make our house a home!
