We have special half-size pillows that we use to support the arms and legs of our residents. They’re a great resource in helping our residents be comfortable. Volunteers provide $127,769 gift

Fifty-six Caring House volunteers teamed to give more than 5,400 hours of their time and energy in 2016. That’s more than 14.8 hours per day, seven days a week. In dollar terms, that’s a $127,769 combined gift in support of Caring House residents and loved ones (based on Independent Sector’s $23.56/hour value of volunteer time in 2015).(…)

On December 31, Kathleen Phillips, MA, will complete her tenure on the Caring House board of directors. Kathleen joined the board in 2011, not long after she retired as Director of the South Bay Adult Care Center in Redondo Beach. Her earlier work experience included stints at TRW and UCLA. Treats for our great neighbors

We have some wonderful neighbors. They’ve welcomed Caring House, supported our work, given a smile when we walk by. One has even mowed our lawn.
